3.5 Structure of the object descriptions
Each CiA402 object is described in the parameters list in tabular form (similar to the
parameters) which consists of the following three areas:
Table header
The table header contains the following general notes:
 Index and – if available – subindex of the object
 Object name (display text in the »Engineer» and in the keypad)

Data type
 Assigned parameter in the parameters list
Table contents
The table contains further general explanations & notes on the object and the possible
settings whose representation depends on the object type:
 Objects with read-only access
 Objects with write access
Table footer
The table footer contains the
Object attributes .
