4. To set the Minimum Limit, repeat steps 1 through 3 using the Minimum Limit thumb control.
5. After you have set the physical limits, install the fixtures or grips required to hold your specimen.

The following actions can be taken when setting fixture and specimen limits in the Situational Awareness
panel.
Recommended
: To protect fixtures and specimens, it is best practice to turn fixture and
specimen detectors on and to select C-Stop Interlock as the action.
MTS Acumen Detector Limit Actions
Description
Action
Writes a message to the Message Log.
Indicate
Stops any program command, writes a message to the Application Log, and turns
off power to the load unit.
Station Power Off
Stops any program command, writes a message to the Application Log, stops
the electric motor drive, turns off power, and creates an interlock.
Interlock
Reset the interlock to resume testing.
Stops any program command, writes a message to the Application Log, and
forces a program interlock.
