The Non-Bottleneck Earliest End Time rule selects the non-bottleneck resource that
will complete the operation first. If there are no identified bottleneck resources in the
valid resource group, this rule defaults to the Earliest End Time rule.

The Non-Bottleneck Earliest Start Time rule selects the non-bottleneck resource
that will start the operation first. If there are no identified bottleneck resources in the
resource group, this rule defaults to the Earliest Start Time rule.
Summary of independent operation selection rules
Brief descriptions of the standard independent operation selection rules are given below.

Earliest Due Date: The operation with the earliest due date (may be order due date) is
selected.

Highest Priority First: The operation with highest priority (lowest value) is selected.

Lowest Priority First: The operation with lowest priority (highest value) is selected.

Highest Order Property Field: The operation with the highest (or largest) order
property field value is selected. The order property can be numeric or character, and it
must be specified as an available ranking order property. FactoryTalk Scheduler will
automatically list all specified order properties.
„
Lowest Order Property Field: The operation with the lowest (or smallest) order
property field value is selected. The order property can be numeric or character, and it
must be specified as an available ranking order property. FactoryTalk Scheduler will
automatically list all specified order properties.

Dynamic Highest Order Property Field: The operation with the highest (or largest)
order property field value is selected. The order property can be numeric or character,
and it must be specified as an available ranking order property. FactoryTalk Scheduler
will automatically list all specified order properties.

Dynamic Lowest Order Property Field: The operation with the lowest (or smallest)
order property field value is selected. The order property can be numeric or character,
and it must be specified as an available ranking order property. FactoryTalk Scheduler
will automatically list all specified order properties.

Schedule File Order: The operation that appears first in the order file is selected. This
rule is similar to a first come, first served rule based on the order file.
„
Critical Ratio: The operation with the smallest critical ratio is selected. Critical ratio
is calculated as the amount of time remaining to complete the order to meet the due
date (demand time) divided by the remaining work time to complete the order (supply
time).
