Operating Instructions–Main Monitor

The system simultaneously monitors several air drill
functions, but the readout displays only one function at a
time. The top line of the readout displays the function.
The bottom line displays current function level. The unit
of measurement is displayed between the two lines. To
view the current level of a different function, press the up
and down keys to move between functions.

Alarms
Alarms are displayed when the parameter settings
described under Set Parameter Levels, page 40, are
violated. When a parameter level is violated, the monitor
beeps repeatedly, the triangle indicator flashes, and the
top readout displays the fault.

To silence the alarm, press the ACK button. The triangle
indicator continues to flash until you correct the problem.

Note: No alarms are generated when the unit is in the

parameter-setting mode.

Multiple Alarms
If more than one alarm is tripped at the same time, push
the ACK button to acknowledge each alarm in order of
priority. The readout does not return to normal until all
alarms are acknowledged. Alarm priority is as follows.

1.

High Fan RPM

2.

Low Fan RPM

3.

Front Shaft RPM

4.

Rear Shaft RPM

5.

Grain Flow Blockage

6.

Front Bin Low

7.

Rear Bin Low

Ground Drive Alarm
When the cart electric clutch is engaged, the system
gives a short double beep whenever ground speed
moves above or below two mph. There is no visual
display associated with this feature. It is intended to
inform you that the cart clutch is operating properly.

Flow Alarms
If your drill does not have blockage sensors, the flow
function must be set to zero. If you do not zero out the
blockage sensors, the monitor displays a communication
error. Follow instructions for disabling functions at “Set
Parameter Levels
” on page 121.

If your air drill has blockage sensors, the fault message
“FLOW” appears on the top readout when
a) flow blockage occurs or
b) there is a communication breakdown between the
sensors and monitor. Refer to Operate Mode, page 42
for more information on flow alarms.

Bin Level
Bin level is always displayed on the bar graphs in the
lower, right-hand corner of the monitor. Bin level is
displayed as full until the bin sensor is uncovered at
about 20 percent of bin capacity. The monitor then
displays 20 percent full on the bar graphs and sound a
low-bin alarm.

Area Rate
There are two function positions for area.

1.

Field area: when the triangle indicator for field area is
lit, the monitor displays area covered since the
field-area function was last reset. Field area is
displayed in acres or hectares to the nearest tenth.

2.

Total area: when the triangle indicator for total area is
lit, the monitor displays total area covered since the
function was last reset. Total area is displayed in
acres or hectares rounded to the nearest whole
number.

To reset field or total area to zero, press the up or down
buttons until the area you wish to zero is displayed, then
hold the ACK button down for five seconds. The unit
beeps each second and then gives one long beep,
signalling the area has been reset to zero.

Note: Zeroing total area also zeroes field area.
