10. Pivot the auger hopper until its opening is facing up. To

turn the hopper, pull up on the hopper snap pin as
shown in Figure 2-4.

DANGER!

Keep clear of overhead power lines when positioning auger.

11. Undo the latch clamp that holds the auger in place

during transport. See Figure 2-5. Pull auger away
from drill, taking care not to damage the auger tube on
the ladder.

Check that the auger-motor control on the auger body
is in the center, off position as shown in Figure 2-2.

7.

Divert hydraulic flow to the auger by moving the hy-
draulic diverter down into the auger position. The di-
verter is shown in Figure 2-3, page 15. The diverter is
on the inside of the left tongue rail.

Climb the ladder to the cart walkboard. Lift the lid latch
handle and move the latch off of the u-bolt catch. Lift
the lid and open fully. Do not drop the lid; lower it by
hand.

Check that the strainer basket is in place in the top of
the bin. Remove any foreign material from the basket.

WARNING!

Keep hands, feet, hair, clothing or any item that could get
caught in the auger away from the inlet. If the auger becomes
plugged, turn off the auger and tractor before unplugging.
