12. Swing the auger so the spout is centered over the bin

opening. Position your grain container for unloading
into the auger hopper.

DANGER!

Rotating auger. To prevent serious injury or death:

Read instructions and safety information before operation.

Keep hands, feet, hair and clothing away from rotating auger.

Do not remove or modify any guards.

Keep children well clear of work area.

13. Energize tractor hydraulics for auger. You may need to

tie the control lever in place or adjust the detent pres-
sure on your tractor.

14. Start the auger by turning the auger-motor control left

or right. The control is shown in Figure 2-6. Visually
check auger for correct rotation. Reverse handle if
needed.

NOTE: The center location of the valve handle is the off
position. Turning the handle to either side will provide for-
ward or reverse rotation depending on direction of the hy-
draulic flow from the tractor. One side will be forward and
the other reverse.

15. Slowly turn on seed flow and fill bin.

NOTE: When leveled off, the top cone of the bin holds
about one-third of bin capacity, the center area one-third
and the lower cone one-third.

16. When bin is full, turn off the auger by moving the au-

ger-motor control to the center position.

17. Return auger to storage position. Swing auger toward

the cart, place the spout end in the support arm, and
close the clamp latch.

18. Turn off the tractor hydraulics.

CAUTION!

Do not turn the auger hydraulic diverter handle until the hy-
draulics have been shut off. If the diverter is moved with hydrau-
lics on, the drill markers or wings will suddenly begin folding.

19. Remove any foreign matter from the strainer basket.

20. Wipe any grain or foreign matter from lid-seal area on

top of cart bin. Close lid and latch securely.

21. Before moving the cart, check that the bin lid is

latched, the auger-motor control is off, and the auger
is securely latched in transport position.
