Secondary, 1-inch seed hoses are plug-
ging.

Increase fan speed. Refer to Field Operations, “Operating Instructions,” page
17.

Check hoses for damage and replace if necessary.

Check for debris in seed that is too large for hose.

Take up extra slack in hoses. Leave enough slack for wing down flex.

Reroute hoses so there are no sharp bends.

Primary, 2 1/2-inch seed hoses are plug-
ging.

Increase fan speed. Refer to Field Operations, “Operating Instructions,” page
17.

Check hoses for damage and replace if necessary.

Reroute hoses so there are no sharp bends.

Check if metering system is not shutting off when fan is off, filling primary hoses
with seed. If so, hydraulic pressure switch may be faulty.

Fan will not run fast enough.

Check that tractor hydraulics are supplying enough oil. They must be able to
supply 18 gallons per minute at 2000 psi.

Check if tractor oil level is too low.

Check the fan for correct rotation direction. Bottom of the blade should move
toward the rear of the drill. Reverse direction of hydraulic flow from tractor if fan is
not rotating correctly.

Inspect fan hydraulic check valve (part number 810-037C). It may be installed
backwards. Refer to cart parts manual for check-valve location.

Acremeter is not accurate

Check tire pressure. Inflate as recommended on Tire Inflation Chart, “Appen-
dix
,” page 53.

Check for excessive overlap or skips in seeding.

Consider soil conditions. Loose soil may cause a variation in acres registered.

Check that proper clutch sprocket is installed. Refer to Cart Drive System, “Prep-
aration and Setup
,” page 11.

No seed being metered.

Check power to the electric-clutch circuit.

Check the clutch-switch adjustment. Refer to Electric Clutch Switch Adjustment,
Adjustments,” page 39.

Check that gearbox clutch is engaged.

Check that sprockets are secured to drive shafts.

Check if fan pressure switch is faulty or improperly adjusted. Switch should close
at 800 psi and higher.

Check that fan is running and implement is lowered so height switch is extended.
