Menu to appear and display
the following error:

The Dell OpenManage Array
Manager event log size is not
working properly.

The Dell OpenManage Array
Manager event log has grown past
its size limit.

Periodically clear the Dell
OpenManage Array Manager
event log by clicking the Event tab
and selecting Clear all Events.

I have noticed that my Dell
OpenManage Array Manager
Log file has exceeded its
maximum log size.

The maximum log file size was
exceeded because the notification
message cannot be seen and
cleared through Terminal Services or
NAS Manager.

Periodically clear the Dell
OpenManage Array Manager
event log by clicking the Event tab
and selecting Clear all Events.

I have tried logging on to my
Dell OpenManage Remote
Assistant Card 2 (DRAC 2)
through the Web console and I
cannot log on. I configured my
DRAC 2 using the PowerVault
Advanced Administration
Menu
and I can ping the IP
address I assigned the card.

There are spaces before or after the
user name or password entries.

Reedit the configuration file to
ensure there are no spaces before
or after any of the user or
password entries.

After receiving my system, I
attached a keyboard, monitor,
and mouse directly to my
system, but I did not connect
the network cable. When I turn
on the power and my system
boots up, I see the system log
on, open a DOS shell, run
some scripts, and log off the
session.

- The network cable is not connected
from the router to the NIC as shown
in the System Setup Placemat
document.

- The system is not configured using
the recommended steps in the
System Setup Placemat document.

- The system is looking for a valid IP
address, not finding one, and then
logging off.

1. Use one of the three methods
documented in the System Setup
Placemat to configure your
system. If you must attach a
keyboard, monitor, and mouse,
shut down and power off the
machine by pushing and holding
the power button on the front
panel.

2. Attach a network cable from
your router to your NIC, and then
power on the system. Microsoft
Windows Advanced Server will
recognize your network connection
and assign an Autoconfiguration IP
address. This procedure will allow
Kick-Start to run, find a valid IP
address, and then disable itself
from executing.

I connected the network cable
to the router and the system
but forgot to insert the
PowerVault Kick-Start diskette
before I powered on the

When PowerVault Kick-Start booted
up, it did not find a PowerVault Kick-
Start diskette in the diskette drive or
a system running DHCP to obtain an
IP address. Consequently, the
