6. Pull the locking latch away from the integrated diskette drive/CD-ROM drive assembly approximately 12.5 mm (one-half inch).
7. Slide the integrated diskette drive/hard-disk drive assembly forward approximately 12.5 mm (one-half inch) to slide the assembly off its

locking clips, then lift the integrated diskette drive/CD-ROM drive assembly off the top of the peripheral cage (see

Figure 9

).

When installing the replacement integrated diskette drive/CD-ROM drive assembly, make sure that the retaining tabs at the sides of the drive
assembly engage the locking clips on the top of the peripheral drive cage. The locking latch on the top right side of the peripherals drive cage
will click when you push the drive assembly into place.

Hard-Disk Drive Removal

Each hard-disk drive is mounted in a hard-disk drive carrier. The front bezel must be removed from the system front panel, and a square
metal locking pin must be lifted out before you remove a drive carrier.

To remove a hard-disk drive and its carrier, perform the following steps.
