The system chassis design simplifies removing and replacing system components. You can replace
microprocessors or DIMMs without removing the system board. The Dell-designed SCSI backplane board
and hard-disk drive carriers eliminate the extensive cabling and hard-disk drive configuration usually
required for a SCSI subsystem.

Security Features

The storage system also provides the following security features:

Security support for Windows 2000 Active Directory, Windows NT® Domain and Novell Directory
Services (NDS)

Chassis intrusion sensor that generates an event to the event log when the chassis is opened

System status light that changes to amber while chassis is open

Built-in chassis lock that prohibits unwanted users from accessing the inside of the chassis
