Buttonhole foot alignment position

open up the fabric in the center of the
buttonhole.
Be careful not to cut any of the stitching.

boutonnière et tirez les deux extrémités
sous le pied vers le devant. Coudre la
boutonnière de manière que le zigzag
recouvre le cordonnet. La boutonnière
terminée, détachez le cordonnet du
pied, tirer les bouts vers l’avant et tailler la
longueur supplémentaire.

Hook filler cord (such as crochet thread or
buttonhole twist) over the spur and pull both
ends of the cord forward under the foot and
tie off the cord as shown in the illustration.
Sew buttonhole so that zigzag stitches
cover the cord. When completed, release
the cord from foot. Gently pull the cords to
take up the slack, then snip off extra length.
