Global settings for outbound numeric vital-signs data
Configure outbound numeric vital-signs data
In the HL7 Manager page, you can configure these things:
• Numeric data filters
• Numeric data filters for NIBP
• String PAD
To configure outbound numeric vital-signs data
1. Along the top of any WACS page, click Home. Click WACS Administrator, and then
click the HL7 Manager tab.
The HL7 Manager page appears.
2. In the New Value column, specify your changes.
• Type in a field.
• Click a pull-down menu and make a selection.
3. Click Save Changes.
If you want to discard the changes, click Reset.
4. Reboot WACS. (For reboot instructions, see “Log out of the WACS program or reboot
WACS” on page 67.)
Your changes take effect
A. Numeric Data Filter
B. Numeric Data Filter for NIBP Median: For an odd number of sample points, WACS returns the middle
(median) data point. For an even number of sample points, WACS returns
either the average (mean) or one of the two middle points.
Closest: Returns the data closest to the reference point when the HL7
message is constructed.
