F. Number of seconds to be
retrieved when a new
patient is connected
Specifies the number of seconds of historical data that HL7 messages include.
WACS sends historical data messages when the HL7 application first begins and
when certain types of patient monitors are connected to the Acuity System. The
Welch Allyn 1500 Patient Monitor, Propaq CS, Propaq Encore, and Propaq LT
monitors support patient data storage.
G. Number of times the server
tries to send an HL7
message to client before
disconnecting
Specifies the number of times the WACS server attempts to resend a message.
In this example, if WACS sends a message to the CIS and does not receive an
acknowledgement, WACS continues to resend up to five additional messages (or
less if it receives an acknowledgement sooner).
H. Message delay (seconds):
Unit
Specifies a unit-specific time interval for the HL7 message push function. You can
set a unique time interval for each unit.
If present, unit-specific values override any value listed in E, and only defined
units send data through the HL7 interface.
