In Site D above, both meteorological and water quality sensors are used at this field station on a
rocky marine coastal environment. The tripod support must be secured to the rocks with
appropriate anchors. Guy lines may be required in especially windy areas. The MET suite, solar
panel and 6200 DCP are all attached to the tripod main post. The cellular antenna is attached to
a mounting bracket secured to the DCP enclosure. Although not shown in the photograph, the
sonde is secured to a support off the rocks to the right. As in other sonde deployments, PVC pipe
or equivalent makes a useful support to stabilize the sonde from wave action and tides.
