found

necessary

to,

change the bobbin thread tension, it can be regulated
by the screw (S, Fig. 15). Here again an increase in
tension is attained by turning the screw to the left.

To alter the Length of Stitch

By means of the stitch regulator, as shown in Fig. 23,

the

machine

can

pro­

duce

stitches

between

0 and 4 mm. in length.

The

desired

length

of

stitch

is

attained

by

loosening

the

thumb

screw (A) and by press­
ing

it

to

the

bottom

of the slot. The stitch

regulating

lever

(B)

is

then placed so that its
upper

side

is

in

line

with the number of the

desired

stitch

length.

Finally,

move

the

thumb

screw

(A)

back

up again until the stitch

regulating

plate

touches

the

lever,

then

tighten

the

screw.

The

machine

will

now

make

the

indicated

length of stitch in a forward direction.

Reverse Feed

The change from forward to reverse feed is brought

about by lifting the stitch regulating lever (B, Fig. 23),
which

is

pressed

downward

for

forward

feeding,

as

high as it will go, until it touches the top contact

point. The machine will then sew the same number
