Seams in knit and stretch fabrics can be joined and finished in one operation
when you use the slant overedge stitch.
SLANT OVEREDGE STITCH #7
Baste the garment together on the
seam line allowing for a 5 / 8 " seam
allowance and fit in the usual way.
REQUIRED SETTINGS
Stitch Selection: Slant overedge #7
Needle Position:
Stitch Width: i |
i
Stitch Length: At dot (•)
Foot: General Purpose (B)
Needle Plate: General Purpose (A)
• After making any adjustments, trim
the seam edge evenly to a 1 / 4 "
from the seam line basting.
Place trimmed seam under the foot
so that the straight stitches fall on
the basted seam line and the zig
zag stitches fall over the seam
edge.
