Figure 66 on page 176 shows basic triac operation for a Series 5000 device using
the stretchedtriac I/O object. For a Series 5000 device, the turn-on pulse has a
programmatically controlled duration. By increasing the turn-on pulse duration,
the stretchedtriac I/O object can control triac devices that run under highly
inductive loads.
