Lookup Program

(Tender subtype is also discussed in the C35923 Point of Sale and Shift Change Manual).

Account fields 1-3 - one-three fields of your choosing, such as employee number, vehicle
number, license plate number. Set these fields with the program’s Configuration menu.

Account fields 1-3 constitute the number assigned to a card; the same number in one

or two account fields can be assigned to more than one card, but no two cards can have all
three fields identical.

The factor that determines how many account fields can be used is the tender type

assigned to the record, not the type of card used. Any record whose tender type is not 0-for
example, bank-card records with a tender type of 3-uses only the first account field. Club
records (tender type 0) can use one, two, or all three account fields.

The first account field can have up to 20 digits if it is the only account field used.

If the tender type is not 0, only numeric digits are allowed in the one field that can be used. If
the tender type is 0, there are five exceptions to the numbers-only rule:

• a blank account field means the customer is to enter the digits for this field before he can

pump fuel. This applies to all lookup types.

• an account field with N as its only character means the Site Controller will use the entire

lookup number (or as much of it as fits in the field) to identify the account in the
transaction printout. This applies to lookup types N, P, or S.

• an account field with P as its only character means the Site Controller will use the primary

part of the lookup number to identify the account in the transaction printout. This applies
to lookup types N, P, or S.

• an account field with S as its only character means the Site Controller will use the

secondary part of the lookup number to identify the account in the transaction printout.
This applies to lookup types N, P, or S.

• an account field with R as its only character means the Site Controller will duplicate the

corresponding field on the card to identify the account in the transaction printout. This
applies to lookup types C, 1, 2, or 3.
