Other functions
Inputting characters
On this unit, the names displayed for “Friendly Name” and
search, screens can be changed as desired.
For inputting characters, there are two methods, as shown
below.
Method Operations
Using the number
buttons
• Operating with the remote control.
• Multiple characters are assigned to
a button, and each time the button
is pressed, a character is switched.
Using the cursor
buttons
• Operating with the remote control
or the main unit.
• Use uio p and ENTER to input
characters.

z The current input character type is displayed.
a : Lower case
A : Upper case
1 : Numerics
ä : Lowercase characters with a diacritical mark
Ä : Uppercase characters with a diacritical mark

Display the screen for inputting
characters.

Place the cursor at the character
to be changed with o p .

Press +10 to select the character
type (upper case, lower case,
or numeric characters), and
press 0 – 9 to select the desired
character.
• When you enter the Spotify account and Search text, you
can select character types with a diacritical mark.
• The types of characters that can be input are as shown
below.

• Press CLEAR to delete the character.
• For entering the characters assigned to one number button
continuously, press p to move the cursor to the right after
entering a character then enter the next character.
• For entering characters assigned to separate buttons, press
the number button continuously. The cursor automatically
moves to the next position, and the entered character is
registered.

Repeat steps 2 and 3 to change the name then press
ENTER to register it.
Example: For changing characters from “POPS” to “ROCK”
q Place the cursor at “P”. P OPS
w Press CLEAR .
O PS
“P” is deleted.
e Press +10 to set the character type to upper case.
r Press three times.
R OPS
“R” is input.
t Press p twice.
RO P S “R” is automatically registered, and the
cursor placed “P”.
y Press three times.
RO C PS
“C” is input.
u Press twice.
ROC K PS “C” is automatically registered, and “K” is
input.
i Press p once.
ROCK P S
Place the cursor at “P”.
o Press CLEAR twice.
ROCK
“P” and “S” are deleted.
Q0 Press ENTER to register the input name.
