The RT-3020 GPS sensor is designed for precise
navigation and positioning using the Global
Positioning System. Users must be familiar with the
use of portable GPS equipment, the limitations
thereof and these safety instructions prior to use of
this equipment.

Transport

Always carry the NavCom equipment in its case. The
case must be secured during transport to minimize
shock and vibration.

Utilize all original packaging when transporting via
rail, ship, or air.

RF Exposure Compliance

The RT-3020 complies with FCC exposure limits.
Individuals are required to be a minimum of 20 cm
(8 in) away from the SSR transmitting antenna when
used in the basic configuration. If the transmitting
system is modified from the basic setup, check FCC
regulations for compliance with exposure limits.

Maintenance

The NavCom equipment may be cleaned using a new
lint free cloth moistened with pure alcohol.

Connectors must be inspected, and if necessary
cleaned before use. Always use the provided
connector protective caps to minimize moisture and
dirt ingress.

Inspect cables regularly for kinks and cuts as these
may cause interference and equipment failure.

Damp equipment must be dried at a temperature less
than +40

°C (104°F), but greater than 5°C (41°F) at
