15–Using the Tuner

The GT-R1 has a built-in tuner. By inputting the
sound of an instrument, you can use the tuning
meter on the display to tune that instrument
accurately. In addition, you can output a tone for
tuning from the

/LINE OUT

jack to, for example,

tune multiple instruments simultaneously.

Preparation

1 Press the

MENU

key to open the Menu

Screen. Select the

TUNER

and press

¥/π

.

2 Use the

MODE

item to select the tuner mode.

AUTO

Chromatic tuner mode

GUITAR

Guitar tuner mode

Bass

Bass tuner mode

OSC.

Oscillator mode

3 Use the

CALIB

item to set the frequency of

A above middle C (A4) between 435 Hz
and 445 Hz.

The set value appears in the lower right

part of the screen. This setting affects all
tuner modes.

Use of these tuner modes is explained below.

AUTO (chromatic tuner mode)

This is the default mode. Use the tuning meter on
the GT-R1’s screen to tune your instrument.
The tuning meter and input signal pitch appear on
the screen. (“

---

” appears when there is no input).

1 Set the input source that you are using. (See

Selecting the input source on page 42.)

2 Play the instrument you are tuning. The

name of the closest pitch appears in the
upper part of the meter.

3 Tune the instrument until the desired pitch
