The Wrap Tracker 6TC requires calibration before being used and periodically after
that if tracking performance appears to be diminished. Calibration is performed
using the VR Manager software and the calibration process is described in the next
section of this manual.
A “Zero Gyros” process will automatically be initiated the first time VR Manager is
run. The “Zero Gyros” process can also be initiated manually from the VR
Manager’s “Misc. Tools” tab.
Degrees of Freedom
The Wrap Tracker 6TC supports 6 degrees of freedom (DOF) tracking.
Three degrees of freedom tracking (yaw, pitch and roll) are supported by the VR
Manager software applications supported through Vuzix Extensions. The additional
3 DOF (up/down, left/right and forward/back) require direct or native support
written directly into applications. A royalty free Software Developer Kit (SDK) is
available for download from the Vuzix website (
www.vuzix.com ). The Vuzix SDK
provides sample code and technical information on reading raw tracker sensor data.
