4. Connect the supplied power cord
WARNINGN: Please refer to the “Important Information” section of this user’s manual for proper selection of an
AC power cord.
CAUTIONN: Please refer to “CAUTION 1” .
NOTEN: • The monitor should be installed close to an easily accessible power outlet.
• Please make sure that enough power is supplied to the monitor. Please refer to the “Power Supply”
in the specification (See “M321” on page 67 ).

5. Cable information
CAUTIONN: Use the provided specified cables with this product so as not to interfere with radio and television reception.
For USB and mini D-Sub 15-pin, please use a shielded signal cable with ferrite core.
For HDMI, RS-232C and DisplayPort, please use a shielded signal cable.
Use of other cables and adapters may cause interference with radio and television reception.
6. Turn on the power for the monitor and the external equipment
Switch on the monitor power first.
7. Operate the attached external equipment
Select the input source for the attached equipment to show the image signal on screen.
NOTEN: Under the conditions below, DDC communication is disabled.
• Except for VGA(RGB) input, turning off the monitor’s main power.
• When [MODE] in [POWER SAVING SETTINGS] has been set to [LOW POWER] in the OSD menu, and the
monitor is turned off or shift to the power saving mode.
8. Adjust the sound
Make volume adjustments when required.
9. Adjust the picture settings (see page 74)
If necessary, make adjustments to the backlight, colors, contrast, and image position in the OSD PICTURE menu.
