Hotkey Mode
Invoking Hotkey Mode
All Hotkey operations begin by invoking
Hotkey
mode. There are two key
sequences – a default and an alternate – that can be used to invoke Hotkey
Mode, but only one of them can be active at a time:
1. The Default:
Num Lock
and
Minus
To invoke Hotkey mode with the default key sequence, do the following:
1. Hold down the
[Num Lock]
key.
2. Press and release the
[Minus]
key.
3. Release the
[Num Lock]
key.
2. The Alternate:
Control
and
F12
To invoke Hotkey mode with the alternate key sequence, do the following:
1. Hold down the
[Ctrl]
key.
2. Press and release the
[F12]
key.
3. Release the
[Ctrl]
key.
Note:
1.
Hotkey Command Mode
must be enabled in the settings (see page 37).
2. When invoking Hotkey Mode, be sure to use the active sequence.
Hotkey Mode Active
When the
Hotkey
mode is active:
A command line appears on the monitor screen. The command line prompt
is the word
Hotkey:
in white text on a blue background, and displays the
subsequent Hotkey information that you key in.
Ordinary keyboard and mouse functions are suspended – only Hotkey
compliant keystrokes and mouse clicks (described in the sections that
follow), can be input.
Exiting Hotkey Mode
Press
[Esc]
to exit
Hotkey
mode.
