M Command - Memory Allocation

Description This command no longer changes memory allo-

cation. It was originally used for SRAM and

early model flash printers. The command now

allows the programmer to set the size of forms

memory only. The reminder of the storage

memory will be shared by soft fonts and graph-

ics data.

Parameters

= Parameter ignored, but required to pro-

cess. Represents Image buffer size in

whole KBytes.

= Form(s) memory size in whole KBytes.

The parameter,

(form memory size),

inversely effects the size of the shared

graphics/soft fonts memory.

= Parameter ignored, but required to pro-

cess. Graphics (and soft font) memory

size in whole Kbytes.

If the

M

command is issued, then all three pa-

rameters must be present.

memory can be displayed with the

U

command or

an AutoSense procedure, see the printer user’s man-

ual for details.
