Appendix D: Using Parani-MSP100 with Serial/IP
The Parani-MSP100 supports the use of Serial/IP COM Port redirection software. The Serial/IP allows
COM port based applications to be used with TCP/IP based networks. By using virtual COM ports
created by the Serial/IP software, Com port based applications can use the Parani-MSP100’s network
port or serial ports as if they were local serial ports.
Serial/IP can be used with the Parani-MSP100’s server and client modes. However, Parani-MSP100
and Parani-SD should be connected in advance so that Serial/IP can be used.
The following are examples of the Parani-MSP100 being used in-conjunction with Serial/IP:

Server Mode
Step1. Set the Operation Mode of Parani-MSP100 as “Server Mode”
Step2. Set the Parani-MSP100 data port number and input the BD address of Parani-SD by
clicking the “Advanced Configuration” button.
