is a graphic programming tool for the Windows

operating system. Programs can be built by the

graphic assembly of blocks which represent pieces of program code. Win+Drive is especially useful for
designing the software of control systems. The tool generates C code that can be compiled and run on differ-
ent target platforms including the PC itself.

About this Manual

This manual

how to install and to use Win+Drive. It contains the following chapters:

Chapter 1 describes the document conventions and the installation process.
Chapter 2 gives an overview of the concepts and features of Win+Drive.
Chapter 3 contains a quick reference to the features of

Summaries of the menus and keyboard

actions are given.
Chapter 4 describes the basic components of the Win+Drive design environment. This includes how to
open, save and close projects, the different elements of the screen layout including menus,

and

windows for schematics, compiler and simulator output. Also how to get online help is explained here.
Chapter 5 shows how to create schematics using

This includes the placing and connecting of

software blocks, the editing of block ports and parameters and methods to view, modify and print sche-

matics.
Chapter 6 explains how software parts developed and created by

are connected to the target

system using variables.
Chapter 7 describes how

can be used within

projects by using compound blocks. It

shows how these compound blocks are created and used within other blocks. Also the transfer of com-

pound blocks from one project to another is explained.

Chapter 8 explains how program code is generated from

schematics. This also includes the

automatic run of the compiler.

Chapter 9 provides information about the simulation of

generated programs on the PC includ-

ing the display of simulation results in tabular form and graphically.

Chapter 10 contains the necessary information how to change general settings of
