Changing the View of the Schematic

Schematics can get larger than the window displaying it. Therefore the window shows only a small view on
the entire schematic. This view can be changed in several ways:

the position of the view can be changed by the scroll bars and key combinations

the magnification ratio can be changed by menu items from the View menu and by key combinations.

Positioning the View

The actual position of the view is changed primarily by using the scrollbars on the left and lower side of the
window. There are some key combinations that have similar effects:

pressing the cursor keys moves the view into the corresponding direction

pressing the cursor keys together with the

key moves the view by larger portions in the correspond-

ing direction
pressing

or

DOWN

has the same effect as pressing

or

pressing the

key moves the view to the upper left comer of the schematic.

All these key operations can be used to move the view freely over the whole schematic.

Changing the Zoom factor

To be able to see more details or larger portions of the schematic within one window the magnification factor

(also called the zoom factor) can be changed by using menu items from the View menu. Most of these menu
items are also available by key combinations. The following operations are provided:

zooming into the schematic (increasing the magnification)

zooming out of the schematic (decreasing the magnification)
zooming to original size

zooming to a magnification that the whole schematic fits onto the window

If the zoom factor has a small value texts are no longer displayed. They are only visible if the magnification is
high enough.

Displaying additional Information on the Window

Within

view menu there are items that can be checked to make additional information available:

if the Execution Order item is checked the order of execution is displayed for each block after code

generation has been executed.

if the Quick Info item is checked the name of each port and block is displayed within a small info box
above the cursor position. This box is displayed immediately after the cursor moves over the port of
block.
if the Quick value item is checked the actual value of a port is displayed during simulation after the
mouse moves over it.
