Packing and Shipping the MFC
Whenever you transport the MFC, use the packing materials that came with your
MFC. If you do not pack the MFC correctly, you could void your warranty.

Unplug the MFC from the telephone wall jack.

Unplug the MFC from the AC outlet.
WARNING
Do not unplug the MFC after a print job until you hear the final click.

Plug the MFC into the AC outlet again. And leave it for 5 seconds.
Lock the Scanner Lock

Push the blue
Scanner Lock Lever
up to lock the
scanner. This lever is
located on the rear
left underside of the
scanner cover.
Caution
If the message CHECK SCAN LOCK appears on the LCD, unlock the
scanner immediately, and then press Stop/Exit.
WARNING
Damage caused to your MFC by failure to lock the scanner before moving and
shipping will void your warranty.
