Rotary Angle Sensor Replacement
Removal:
1. Lower platform to the stowed position.
2. Disable the machine and disconnect the batteries.
3. Remove the screws securing the sensor cover to
the frame and remove the sensor cover.
4. Disconnect the wiring harness from old/existing
rotary angle sensor. Disconnect the sensor from
the arm pin and remove the sensor.
Installation:
1. Connect the wiring harness to the new rotary
angle sensor.
2. Position and connect rotary angle sensor to the
arm pin as shown below.
3. Rotate the sensor as described in the image above.
NOTE: The sensor is spring loaded. DO NOT rotate past its
internal stops.
4. Install the rotary angle sensor cover and secure to
the frame with the two screws.
5. Reconnect the batteries.
3.15 GROUND CONTROL STATION
NOTE: The Ground Control Station supplied with the ZAPI
Power Module (production start mid-year 2010) does
not require use of the printed circuit board inside the
ground contol box.
However box installation and removal instructions
shown are exactly the same as the ground control
box which does contain a printed circuit board and is
used with previous machines supplied with the SEV-
CON Power Module.
NOTE: Anytime the ground control box is removed, the tilt
sensor must be re-calibrated. Refer to Section 5, JLG
Control System to re calibrate the tilt.
Printed Circuit Board (PCB) Replacement
1. Disconnect the batteries.
2. Remove the three bolts at the bottom of the
ground control station.
3. Remove the four bolts where the control cable
enters into the control box.
4. Remove plug and place control box face down on
a suitable work bench.
