6.9. Standby Amplifiers

So that the power amplifier can be automatically switched over to the standby amplifier to allow broadcasts to
continue when the amplifier fails, mount the YA-7000 in the power amplifier and connect the power amplifier to
the standby amplifier. (See page 76; Mounting the YA-7000 in the power amplifier.)

[Notes]
• Use a standby amplifier of the same type as the main amplifier, or one with a rated output larger than that of

the main amplifier. If the standby amplifier's rated power output is smaller than that of the main amplifier, the
standby amplifier could be damaged by overload.

• Set the volume controls on the front panels of both the main and standby amplifiers to the same position.
• Standby amplifiers cannot be used with other main amplifiers.
• Only 1 power amplifier (FS-7006PA or FS-7012PA) can be connected to each of the YA-7000's main and

standby amplifier inputs. Never connect 2 or more amplifiers to these terminals, as the excessive load could
cause the amplifier to fail. Connect the YA-7000's Speaker Output only to the FS-7000JP's Priority Input and
BGM Input.
