9.2. Changing the Operation Mode of the FS-7000RM Microphone
By changing the position of the unit's internal jumper, microphone operation mode can be changed from the
default "PTT" (Press-to-Talk) mode, which permits microphone announcements only while the Talk key is
pressed, to "Alternate" mode, in which microphone announcements alternate between ON and OFF with each
press of the Talk key.
Note
All changes described in this chapter should be performed by qualified professionals only. Failure to follow this
instruction could lead to improper or faulty installation and equipment malfunctions.
Step 1. Remove the 8 screws on the FS-7000RM's bottom surface and remove the unit's case.

Step 2. Change the position of the jumper socket located on the circuit board mounted on the removed base
case.
Step 3. Replace the case after the above modification has been completed.
Note
Take care not to pinch cables when replacing the case.
