Any autoscan performed while at a memory location where a
spectrum is currently stored overwrites the existing data if allowed to
proceed to the "End' message.

An autoscan can be aborted at any time during a frequency sweep
either by selecting "All Pass" on the filter set BAND switch, or by
deselecting the "Scan" position on the MODE switch. In the latter
case none of the readings taken up until the interruption point will be
committed to memory.

A description of how to recall stored results is given in Section 5.1.4.

Microprocessor Operational Checks

The microprocessor keeps a check of the system condition while the
autoscan is in progress, and if it detects one of the following condi-
tions, it will stop the scan.

a)

Overload occurring in either sound level meter or filter set
during the analysis.

b)

Change of frequency bandwidth on the filter set during the
analysis,

c)

Change of filter output frequency preweighting on the sound
level meter during the analysis,

d)

Change of time weighting on the sound level meter during the
analysis,

e)

Change of measurement range on the sound level meter
during the analysis,

f)

Pressing PAUSE button on the sound level meter during the
analysis,

g)

Selection of any other digitally displayed reading on the sound
level meter than Leq during the analysis.
