messages with a level number equal to or greater than
the level you specify are recorded.

Syntax

Trivial status messages.

2 or medium Messages that can help

monitor the network traffic.

3 or high

Status messages that may be
significant but do not
constitute errors.

4 or warning Recoverable error conditions

and useful operator

conditions that may not be

Command

Ping

Description

Causes the Nokia M10 to issue a series of ICMP Echo
requests for the device with the specified IP address.
You can use the

ping

command to determine whether

an IP address is already in use on your network. You
cannot use the ping command to ping the Nokia M10’s
own IP address. If a host using the specified IP address
is active, it returns one or more ICMP Echo replies,
confirming that it is accessible from your network.

Syntax

ping [ip_address]

Arguments

ip_address

argument is the IP address, in dotted

decimal notation, of the device you want to locate.

Example

M10> ping 192.122.12.11
