HAZARD AVOIDANCE
Viewing METAR and TAF text for a selected airport:
1)
On the Weather Data Link Page, press the Joystick and pan to the desired airport.
2)
Press the ENT Key to display the Weather Information Page with METAR and TAF text.
OR
:
1)
Select the Weather Information Page and enter the desired airport.
a)
Select the Waypoint Page Group.
b)
Select the first rectangular page icon.
c)
Press the WX Softkey to select the Weather Information Page.
d)
Press the FMS Knob momentarily to display the cursor.
e)
Use the FMS Knob to enter the desired airport and press the
ENT
Key.
2)
Use the FMS Knob or the ENT Key to scroll through the METAR and TAF text. Note that the METAR text must
be completely scrolled through before scrolling through the TAF text.
3)
Press the FMS Knob or the CLR Key to return to the Weather Data Link Page if the airport was selected by
panning from this page.
METAR data is displayed first in a decoded fashion, then as raw text. TAF information is displayed only in
its raw form.
