Special Modes for Other Purposes

Images Displayed During Playback

Each set of images shot continuously is managed as a single group, and

only the first image in that group will be displayed. To indicate that the

image is part of a group, [

] is displayed in the upper left of the screen.

If you erase a grouped image (

= 240), all images in the group

are also erased. Be careful when erasing images.

Grouped images can be played back individually and ungrouped (

= 230).

Protecting (

= 236) a grouped image will protect all images in the group.

Grouped images can be viewed individually when played back using Image

Search (

= 225) or Smart Shuffle (= 235). In this case, images are

temporarily ungrouped.

Grouped images cannot be sent individually (

= 75), and Face ID

information cannot be edited (

= 231). They cannot be tagged as favorites

(

= 244), edited (= 243255), categorized (= 245), assigned as a

start-up image (

= 266), printed (= 286), specified for printing individually

(

= 294), or added to a photobook (= 296). To do these things, either view

grouped images individually (

= 230) or cancel grouping (= 230) first.
