TCP Test
A test is performed on the Transmission Control Protocol (TCP)
of a certain port of the server.
Test setup
The first setup screen is used to type in the name or address of
the TCP port. The TCP port number to be tested is required to
be typed in as well. The last setup screen provides a list of
measurements performed during the test. Select a measurement
from the list and press Edit to view and modify the thresholds
used to rate the performance of the measurement.
The following measurements are taken during the tests.
Name Lookup The request or response time for converting a
name into an address.
PING Response The time taken to perform an ICMP Echo test
on the device.
Server Response The total time for negotiating for an IP
address from the DHCP server
