Network Testing with the FrameScope Pro
Tracing a Route through the Network
The TraceRoute test allows you to determine the path through
the network to a particular device. The FrameScope Pro sends
data packets over the network and returns the routers on the
path and the time it took for each hop.
The following procedure describes how to run a TraceRoute
test.

Press Tools on the Main Menu screen to display the menu of
the available network testing tools.

Press TraceRoute to display the TraceRoute screen.

Enter the device to be traced in the Target box. You can
choose to type in the device name or address.

Select the maximum number of hops to be reported.
