1756-DH485 Module Overview
Introduction This chapter describes the 1756-DH485 module, and what you must know and
do before you begin to use it.
What the Module Does The 1756-DH485 module supports the following types of communication:
• Data Highway 485 (DH-485) Messaging
• Connectivity to two separate DH-485 networks in one module
• Common Industrial Protocol (CIP) Messaging
Module Requirements The following are required for using the 1756-DH485 communication
module:
• RSLinx Software, version 2.41 or later
• Node address within the range of 0-31
• AIC+ link coupler (1761-NET-AIC) communications adapter
• Compatible with SLC 5/03 controllers or later
