4. In the Explorer window, right-click the application you want to back up, and then

click Backup.

5. Specify an archive name and location.

To specify a location other than the default, type the path or click the Browse button to
find and select a location.

6. Select or clear the check box, Backup System in archive.

The back-up operation saves an application archive file with a .bak extension to the
specified location. The default locations are:

C:\Users\Public\Documents

(Windows XP and Windows Server 2003) C:\Documents and Settings\All
Users\Documents

If you select the check box, Backup System in archive, it is recommended that you do not
restore the archived System information with the application, as this will remove existing
computer accounts and prevent users from logging on successfully to the Network Directory.

Include System information in the restore operation only if there are no applications using the
current Network Directory, or if the effect on existing applications will be minimal.
