Before using the Movie Camera for the first time, please

read these Operating Instructions carefully—especially

the Cautions. (-» 106,108,110,112)

■ This Movie Camera lets you make your own

video movies of scenes that you want to be

able to watch again. To watch them, the
cassette can be played back in a VTR
(Video Tape Recorder) or directly via a TV
set.

Shooting with this Movie Camera is possible simply
by:

1. Attaching a charged Battery Pack (-» 16)

2. Inserting a Video Cassette (-» 20)

3. Pressing the Start/Stop Button (-» 24)

Playback is possible in the following ways:
1. Inserting a Video Cassette into Super-VHS or VHS

Video Tape Recorder by using the supplied Cassette
Adaptor (-» 42)

2. Using this Movie Camera as a VTR by connecting the

Movie Camera to a TV set (-» 102)

Information for Your Safety

Note:

When the Movie Camera is turned on, it is in
the Shooting Pause Mode.

If the Start/Stop Button is then pressed, a new

recording starts.

Therefore, be sure break out the cassette’s
tab to protect important recordings against

accidental erasure. (-» 48)

recording of pre-recorded tapes or

discs or other published or broadcast

material may infringe copyright laws.

Super-VHS-C Movie Camera

•The rating plate is on the bottom side of

the Movie Camera.

AC Adaptor

•The rating plate is on the bottom side of

the AC Adaptor.

•This model conforms to the EC directive

(for radio interference) 87/308/EEC.

FOR YOUR SAFETY

■ DO NOT REMOVE THE OUTER

COVER.

To prevent electric shock, do not remove the
cover. There are no user serviceable parts

inside. Refer servicing to qualified service
personnel.

CAUTION

Danger of explosion if battery is incorrectly
replaced. Replace only with the same or

equivalent type recommended by the

equipment manufacturer. Discard used
batteries according to manufacturer’s

instructions.

Video cassettes recorded in the Super-VHS
mode can be played back on this Movie
Camera and on other Super-VHS VTRs.
However, they cannot be played back on
standard VHS VTRs. (-» 32)
