(Bar-tack)

[U Raise the needle, set the stitch length dial at “0” and stitch

width dial at “5". Sew 5 stitches of the bar-tack and stop
the machine with the needle in the left position.

0 Leave the needle at the left needle position in the fabric

and raise the presser foot so that you can turn the fabric

180 degrees.

(Line tack)

d] Raise the needle, set the stitch length dial at “O S” and

stitch width dial at “2". Slide the fabric to the right so that

the needle is at the “A" position, as shown.

I Sew the left side of the BH the same length as the right

side then stop the machine.

jSet the stHch length dial at “0" and stitch width dial at “0".

Sew several stitches for the lock-stitch.

Insert a pin at the end fo the buttonhole, then cut the

opening with a seam ripper. Take care not to cut the
stitches.
