This machine is designed to use a 15 watt maxi­

mum light bulb.

CHANGING

CAUTION:

THE LIGHT BULB

Before

removing

bulb,

disconnect

power-line

plug from electrical sup­
ply.

Removing the Bulb

With thumb and forefinger lower the

light bracket. Do not attempt to unscrew
bulb. Press it up into socket and at same

time turn bulb over in direction shown to

unlock bulb pin.

Replacing the Bulb

Press new bulb into socket with bulb pin

entering slot of socket and turn it over in
direction shown to lock bulb in position.

Push bracket back into recess.

REPLACING THE SLIDE PLATE

You will not have any occasion to remove
the slide plate. However, if it should
accidentally become disengaged from the

machine, it is easily replaced.

@ Raise presserfoot and needle.
® Place slide plate in slideway with the

front edge close to, but not covering,

the retaining spring (as shown in

illustration).

® With a screwdriver, lift each end of the

spring into each of the side grooves on
the underside of the slide plate.

® Draw the plate gently toward you and

fully engage the spring.

® Close slide plate.
