Application
Datum tables are used for
frequently recurring machining sequences at various locations on
the workpiece
frequent use of the same datum shift
Within a program, you can either program datum points directly in the
cycle definition or call them from a datum table.
Shift: Table row?
P01: Enter the number of the
datum from the datum table or a Q parameter. If you
enter a Q parameter, the TNC activates the datum
number found in the Q parameter.
Cancelation
Call a datum shift to the coordinates
X=0; Y=0 etc. from the datum table.
Execute a datum shift to the coordinates X=0, Y=0 etc. directly with
a cycle definition.
Selecting a datum table in the part program
With the Select Table (%:TAB:) function, you select the datum table
from which the TNC takes the datums:
To select the functions for program call, press the
PGM CALL key.
Press the DATUM TABLE soft key.
Enter the complete path name of the datum table and
confirm your entry with the END key.
Program a %:TAB: block before Cycle G53 Datum Shift.
A datum table selected with Select Table remains active
until you select another datum table with %:TAB: or
through PGM MGT.
