7.4.2 Automatic Calculation of Nominal System Power

The nominal system power is the sum of the power of all PV modules. It can be calculated
automatically from the data in the device properties.
The nominal PV system power is required in order to display the following data:

• Specific PV system yield
• Average expected yield

Requirements:

☐ You must have entered the PV array power of all inverters (see Section 8.4 "Entering the PV

Array Power", page 49).

☐ You must have the user role Installer or Administrator (see Section 10.1 "User Roles and

User Rights in Sunny Portal", page 56).

Procedure:

1. Select Configuration > PV System Properties in the page and menu selection.
2. Select the tab PV System Data.
3. Select [Edit].

☑ The menu for setting PV system data opens.

4. In the area Power, activate the checkbox Calculate PV system performance from device

properties.

☑ The calculated nominal system power is displayed.

5. Select [Save].

7.5 Changing the System Description

You can enter important features of the system in the description. The text is displayed on the
PV system profile page.
The editor supports text only and not typography with HTML tags.

Requirement:

☐ You must have the user role Installer or Administrator (see Section 10.1 "User Roles and

User Rights in Sunny Portal", page 56).

Procedure:

1. Select Configuration > PV System Properties in the page and menu selection.
2. Select the tab PV System Data.
3. Select [Edit].

☑ The menu for setting PV system data opens.

4. Enter a description in the area Description.
5. Select [Save].
