Procedure:

1. Call up the inverter properties (see Section 8.1 "Calling up the Device Properties", page 48).
2. Select [Edit].

☑ The menu for setting the device properties opens.

3. In the area Phase, activate the checkbox of the line conductor to which the inverter is

connected.

4. Select [Save].

8.4 Entering the PV Array Power

The PV array power is the maximum power of the PV modules connected to one inverter.

Procedure:

• Calculate the PV array power via the string properties (see Section 7.1 "Entering String

Properties", page 38).
or

• Enter the PV array power manually.

SMA Solar Technology AG recommends calculating the PV array power via the string properties.
A string designates a group of series-connected PV modules. Normally, a system is made up of
multiple strings. Each string has specific properties, such as deviation to south (azimuth) or the roof tilt
angle. If you enter the properties of the strings, Sunny Portal can determine the PV array power more
precisely.

Entering the PV Array Power Manually

To find out the connected PV array power present at each inverter, contact your installer. Using the
PV array power, Sunny Portal can calculate the nominal system power of your system
(see Section 7.4.2 "Automatic Calculation of Nominal System Power", page 41).

Requirement:

☐ You must have the user role Installer or Administrator (see Section 10.1 "User Roles and

User Rights in Sunny Portal", page 56).

Procedure:

1. Call up the inverter properties (see Section 8.1 "Calling up the Device Properties", page 48).
2. Select [Edit].

☑ The menu for setting the device properties opens.

3. Enter the PV array power in the Generator capacity area in the field kWp.
4. Select [Save].
