7.10 Automatic Calculation of the Predicted Annual Yield
Sunny Portal can display in a table how the predicted annual yield of your system is likely to be
distributed throughout the months of the year.
The predicted annual yield of the system is calculated from the specific annual yield (kWh/kWp) at
the system location multiplied by the system power.
You can obtain the specific annual yield for your system location from irradiation maps. Local
conditions such as the shading or orientation of the PV system are not taken into account by
Sunny Portal.
Requirements:
☐ The system power must be set (see Section 7.4).
☐ You must have the user role Installer or Administrator (see Section 10.1 "User Roles and
User Rights in Sunny Portal", page 56).
Procedure:
1. Select Configuration > PV System Properties in the page and menu selection.
2. Select the tab Parameters.
3. Select [Edit].
☑ The menu for setting parameters opens.
4. In the Yield Expectations area, enter the specific annual yield in the field Specific Annual
Yield.
☑ The predicted annual yield is displayed in the field Predicted Annual yield.
5. To enable configuration of the average expected yield on the pages Energy and Power and
Annual Comparison, activate the checkbox The monthly distribution can be configured
in the diagrams.
6. Select [Save].
7.11 Setting the Monthly Distribution of the Predicted Annual Yield
The monthly distribution shows how the predicted annual yield is distributed throughout the months of
the year.
You have the following options:
• Letting Sunny Portal Suggest the Monthly Distribution
• Manually Entering the Monthly Distribution

Requirements:
☐ The system location must be entered (see Section (see Section 7.2 "Changing System Data",
page 39)).
☐ You must have the predicted annual yield calculated (see Section 7.10 "Automatic Calculation
of the Predicted Annual Yield", page 45).
☐ You must have the user role Installer or Administrator (see Section 10.1 "User Roles and
User Rights in Sunny Portal", page 56).
