Connecting the Cable for Remote Mouse
Control

If you’ve connected a computer as described in this chapter, you
can use the projector’s remote control as a wireless mouse. This lets
you control your computer and click through slideshow-style
presentations, such as PowerPoint

®

or Keynote,

TM

from up to 30 feet

away.

To use the wireless mouse function, your system must have a USB
port and one of these operating systems:

You must also purchase a USB cable (A to B) available from your local
computer dealer.

1. Connect the square end of the cable to the projector’s

USB

port.

2. Connect the flat end of your USB cable to an available USB port

on your notebook or desktop computer.

3. If necessary, configure your computer to work with an external

USB mouse.

Macintosh OS X 10.1.x to 10.2.x
Macintosh OS 8.6 to 9.2.x
