Switching On and Setting
the Clock
If you've followed the manual to here, you should now have your
system installed with everything connected up and plugged in.
This chapter takes you through using the basic features: playing
CDs and tapes, listening to radio stations, and adjusting the
volume, tone and balance to get the sound you want.
First of all, we'll set the clock. This is mainly used for timer
functions, such as the sleep timer, though you can also use the
display as a clock. Unless you unplug the unit, or there's a power
failure, you only need to set the clock once.
1 Switch on.
You can use the STANDBY/ON button on either the remote
control or the CD receiver unit to do this.
The display lights and briefly indicates the current volume
level before showing the current function (e.g. CD).
2 Press TIMER.
3 Press SET.
The display changes to show a date and time, with the day
part of the date flashing to indicate that you can set it.

1 Mettez l’appareil sous tension.
Pour ce faire, vous pouvez utiliser la touche STANDBY/ON
de la télécommande ou de l’ampli-tuner CD.
L’afficheur s’allume et indique brièvement le volume actuel
avant d’indiquer la fonction sélectionnée (ex. CD).
2 Appuyez sur TIMER.
3 Appuyez sur SET.
La date et l’heure apparaissent, et le jour clignote dans la
date pour indiquer que vous pouvez le régler.
Mise en service et réglage
de l’horloge
Si vous avez suivi toutes les instructions précédentes du manuel, la
chaîne devrait être raccordée et branchée correctement. Ce
nouveau chapitre vous indique comment utiliser les fonctions
élémentaires : lecture de CD et de cassettes, écoute de la radio et
réglage du volume, du timbre et de la balance pour obtenir le son
souhaité.
Avant tout, réglez l’horloge. Elle sert surtout pour la minuterie, la
minuterie sommeil par exemple, mais peut servir aussi pour
indiquer l’heure. L’horloge n’a besoin d’être réglée qu’une seule
fois, à moins que vous débranchiez l’appareil ou qu’une coupure
de courant se produise.

(aucun disque en place)
