VARIABLE LANGUAGE
Function Enables the auxiliary language parsing type for the
printer. When type is set for the desired language,
the printer will recognize and process command
data formatting in the specified printer language, in
addition to CPL.
Explicit Form VARIABLE LANGUAGE type
Implicit Form V LANGUAGE type
Parameters type Available languages are:
EPL : Eltron 2 printer language
ZPL : Zebra printer language
PCL : HP PCL5 printer language
NONE : No auxiliary printer
language is selected
? causes the printer to return to the
current setting status.
Comments When using this command, send it to the printer
with VARIABLE WRITE in a non-printing label
format. Do not use this command in stored label
formats.
PCL function is only available in certain purchased
printer models.
Example The format below will enable EPL parsing:
